Wedding Cake & Cupcake Buffet

Last Saturday Fantasy Cupcakes had the pleasure of decorating the wedding cake and cupcake buffet for  a lovely local couple Jacklyn & Dave’s Wedding which was held at the Swansea RSL Club.  This club is a lovely venue for a wedding as it sits on the bank of the Swansea channel and has the most beautiful view of the channel and the bridge.

Jacklyn & Dave chose a two  tier  Caramel mud cake  layered with  caramel Italian meringue mousse. The cake was covered in white fondant with a plain top tier and the bottom tier had a diamond quilted effect studded with silver  cachous. Royal blue ribbon and diamante’s  around each layer and finished off with  diamante  initials on the top tier.

THE CUPCAKE BUFFET  had an assortment  of Fantasy Cupcakes delicious dessert sized  cupcakes including red velvet, sticky date, lemon meringue, blackberry delight, malteser, crunchie, cookies & cream. They also chose  a range of our signature Hight top cupcakes in flavours of raspberry, chocolate, peanut butter, butterscotch and passionfruit…….

We love doing wedding cake and cupcake buffets. They not only look and taste fantastic they are the ultimate dessert, they can also be the Wedding Bonbonniere. Jacklyn & Dave supplied white bags for guests to take the cakes home you han also use cute little boxes with thank you  cards. When doing a cupcake buffet you can also have a smaller decorated cake for cutting.

At Fantasy Cupcakes we have several different styles of dessert buffets ranging from mini cupcakes to slices and mini desserts to our dessert size cupcakes. Our buffets can be customised to suit our clients wedding or party theme.

Sacred Tree markets

When the alarm goes off at 4:30 am you often ask yourself “Why am I doing this?” But once you wake up and head off with your car loaded to the roof and thoughts of “what have I forgotten?” popping  into your head you start to relax and look forward to the day ahead.

Fantasy cupcakes attended the Sacred Tree markets at Branxton on Sunday as we do every month.

The combination of beautiful weather, busy stallholders and happy customers made for a wonderful day of fun, food, music and shopping. Ganga Ma and Penny (the ladies responsible for this lovely market) go to great lengths to make each market a different and enjoyable experience

The Sacred Tree markets are held  9 am – 2 pm on the third Sunday of the month in St Brigid’s School grounds in Branxton and Fantasy Cupcakes stall is always inside the hall with lots of very talented stall holders, like

Jay Worling with her very unique textile art, Paisley’s on Harrison (who I suspect is trying to eat her way through all of our 20 odd flavours of cupcakes) beautiful handcrafted giftware. Titania’s Dreamy Delights…..Luscious handmades soap & body care products and Once Upon A Time wardrobe……A lovely range of ladies clothing.

Outside the area is alive with stalls full of food, wine oils, jams, meat, bread, hats, bags, cloths, gumboots and stalls like Rustic Revivals….Bringing new life to old timber by making wishing wells, wheelbarrows and gorgeous blackboards.

It’s a wonderful way to spend your Sunday………..

Children’s Cupcake Decorating Parties

I just thought that I would share a few photos of children’s cupcake decorating parties. Children love them!

We take everything that is needed to do a cupcake party including the cakes to be decorated. There is always plenty of discussion about what colour fondant to use and what design to do….Everyone goes home very happy.

Cupcake Decorating Parties

One of the things that we love to do at Fantasy Cupcakes is hosting cupcake decorating parties. It’s a fun way to catch up with your family and friends while learning about decorating cupcakes.

Everyone gets together with family, friends and workmates for a few hours of playing with fondant, cutters, rollers and having a few nibbles. Topped off with tea, coffee and maybe some sparkling wine? and lots of laughter especially when the ladies are trying to decide on how they want to decorate their cakes.

Everyone has great fun and gets to take home 6 decorated cupcakes.
